Sorry I haven’t posted in a while :( , but really and truly, there hasn’t been anything exciting to post… all there seems to be is Doom and Gloom around… is this what they really speak? Is this really all true and correct? How I see it…Doom and gloom is what you make it.. Peter cottontail’s happy-go-luckie crew seem to be quite happy these days, maybe they know something I don’t.

in all honesty… something is missing?  Accountability, Heart, Strength, A Collective Effort, or all of the above?

Looking back to when i was runing around picking cherries and loquats, i had high expectations – that we’d be well advanced, forward thinking, and prosperous as a country, full of life and beaming with excitement…I guess my post is best expressed, but suffering from a bit of “let down” of expectations of where I thought we would be as a people/city/country.

We all want the best of things in life, but most of us haven’t got  a clue what it takes to be the best, or even have the slightest idea of what sort of effort it takes. How can a city sit still and think.. when it never sleeps? How can we move forward when old ways stagnate the new? Can you depend on your governing body to do the best and make the right decisions for the whole? take the bull bye the horns, and pave your way through this maze of life. Take one step on the pavement and follow it with another step… but make sure your steps are the correct ones, no sense walking in the wrong direction!

OPPORTUNITY + COMMITMENT = PROSPERITY

HOME HEART…

Just a Tuesday note that I’d like to share, that is, I had the chance to visit a spectacular home last week, and this home (I have to say) is one of the best homes I have ever stepped foot into.

It really make me smile when I see home owners really care about their most prized possession – their home.

Whether you own or rent, you may or may not choose to stay at that said residence your whole life… if you are one who will probably make the decision to move nests, you should think about the person who is to follow you. Not to say you need to cater your home to their every need, but be mindful that we are now in a buyers market (more homes and fewer buyers), so buyers actually have all the options. If they don’t like the property then they will look elsewhere, especially if it lacks love.. and you can tell if it is lacking!

If the home owner actually took care of their living spaces, they might just entice a sale. Personally, I wouldn’t buy someone else’s mess, especially if I can walk up to the said residence and from first impression know that the current homeowner didn’t take care of what is potentially their largest asset.

Dirty roof, chipped & faded paint, overgrown foliage, cracked walls, broken blinds and widows that don’t open easy…. not a good look, especially if you’re trying to sell.

Be mindful that if you are in the market to sell, pay close attention to the finer details, the prospect who is looking to buy is, so why don’t you!

a Quiet night in the city… As it sits calmed and cleared.. but for how long.

If you haven’t read in the local news (or your international weather channels) we have a Tropical storm heading our way in the near future. KATIA, packing winds up to 65 mph and potentially climbing; I think we need to get a bit prepared for what could be something significant. Just about all projected paths are pointing right for our geographical location…

A few quick hurricane Pre prep tips off top …

  • Flashlight
  • Batteries
  • Candles
  • Lighter or matches
  • Sterno(heat cans)
  • Blanket
  • Identify safe room in house or seek alternate shelter ahead of time.
  • Non-Perishable items(canned goods)
  • Water/ Or water supply source
  • Bucket & Towels
  • A.M. /F.M. radio(optional)-need batteries)
  • Gasoline/ Fuel
  • Rope
  • Boards & Nails.

15 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD DO OFFICE LAPS….

We know how you feel; your just too bored to sift through any more emails, work on that press release, organize the agenda of the next brainstorming meeting and sort out what’s for tonight’s dinner.

Well here is 15 good reasons why you should do Office Laps:

  1. Monday morning.
  2. You forgot where you left your swipe card
  3. Office fitness challenge has been over for a month now
  4. Artmel’s fish sandwich was just too big this week
  5. “What did i do with that printout?”
  6. Your desk drawer just ran out of its chocolate stash
  7. Not finished sniffing out your colleagues chocolate stash!
  8. Time Check: 11:52 am – and you just finished checking your emails…”now what… Lunch?… You ready bye?”
  9. Another paper jam: “This printer is Sh$%!!!”
  10. Director’s Reports: “Do we really need to talk about how there is no money?”
  11. Cause the cute girl sits on the other side
  12. To see what your co-workers aren’t doing
  13. Cause the Agency manager is reaming out Mr. Greene for f@%k-ing up… again!
  14. Cause u just wanna stretch your legs
  15. 1 Zinger combo w/ fries : “up-sized please”

Do not attempt in your office if your company footwear policy isn’t current. Speak with your HR manager to see if your company has office lap policies or procedures in place.

There are tones of websites out there that carry amazing products, services, and tips on how to turn your space from boring to boasty, now you just have to know where to look.

 

Check out this backyard design I stumbled upon while surfing the web.

Here is a creative idea for a small backyard design with a pool by Bestor Architecture. Notice how the pool and the house are positioned at an angle. This formation effectively splits a small and very private backyard into two separate areas. One side for after-pool lounging and bonfires by night and the other for friendly gatherings and meals. The layout and design elements of this outdoor space are exemplary of thoughtful planning and creative thinking when constrained by the lot shape.

Fire’s A Blaze in the City!!!

Fire and a thick blanket of smoke have been spotted in the City!

What appears to be a local auto body shop has caught a blaze; emergency and rescue team are on the scene as one fire truck nearly took me out to get to the scene in smart fashion. Tons of pics are up on Facebook and the buzz has already swarmed the cellphone textuals & internet waves.

If all else, please let there be no casualties and all the workers over at HWP may be safe from heats harm.

Arrivals and Departures….

So shall i continue…..

I was briefly detained.. involving ticket stubs and tight seats. It is always good to get away for a quick minute. Family, Friends, Fun and Fare.  And when you look its all over. Back to reality they say… “well lets get it then”.

 

This post is for all those who need to dig deep, pull out every inch of strength and keep pushin’! Life isn’t always easy so we have to be prepared to face reality dead in its face. “Lets work together and build something successful, something meaningful, something true and dear. May it soar to the heights unbound from life’s clutches. For this reality seems endless in its trek.”

Happy Birthday to new life giver of hope and joy for you make us all smile – children’s faces do not lie as the real truth looks out from within. innocent true and near, for far you will have to walk as you have just begun the steps of this worlds sand. 1 is the magic number… set aside, by your side, from within side.
